Nicklas Bendtner Does The Lord's World With Classy Backheel Assist

Nicklas Bendtner Does The Lord's World With Classy Backheel Assist

The former Arsenal man lived up to the reputation he has in his own head during Thursday's Europa League game.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Especially when that lord is of the Nicklas Bendtner variety! The Dane performed a miracle tonight as he pulled off a back-heeled assist in the Europa League.

Once upon-a-time Arsenal won Premier League titles and they also had Nicklas Bendtner in their team. Now they have neither, coincidence? Oh completely because the Gunners last won the title in 2004 and the striker didn't join the first team till 2005.

Thing is I'm sure if you asked the Danish striker he'd find a way to make the two things connect despite not being able to help the Gunners win the title, this is after all the man who believed he would show himself to be the world's best player.

I'm not saying he's the best striker in the world but he's certainly in the top one. Image: PA

But it never quite worked out at the Emirates for the 29 year old. Nor did it really work out at Sunderland, Juventus, Wolfsburg or Nottingham Forest and now he's in Norway with Rosenborg.

On Thursday night Bendtner's team took on Macedonian side FK Vardar in the Europa League and the highlight of the game was 'The Lord' really doing some of his best work with a backheeled assist:

Fans were of course enjoying the Lord's work:

Maybe he'll be back in the Premier League to take his record as top scoring Dane off Eriksen, we can only hope!
