Jadon Sancho Comes Up With Another Important Assist For Borussia Dortmund

The England youngster has been on good form for the Bundesliga side since moving from Manchester City last season.

In the past few days you haven't been able to move for discussion about young English players who need to get more first team football. Over in Germany Jadon Sancho is doing just that and impressing.

Jose Mourinho was not happy with the suggestion that Marcus Rashford doesn't play enough first team football. The Manchester United forward's double for England caused questions about his game time but his club boss came up with a staunch defence.

The question stretches beyond Rashford though with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Dominik Solanke liked by Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate but not currently getting much of a look in at Chelsea and Liverpool respectively.

It's really a new issue either with Premier League sides often preferring to sign a foreign player instead of trusting the young Englishman at their team already.

That has led some to find game time abroad and it's exactly what Jadon Sancho did last summer, leaving Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund. And once again last night he proved it was the right decision with a brilliant assist:

The cross gave Lucien Favre's side a 2-1 lead against Eintracht Frankfurt and they would go on to score a third before full time as they headed to top of the table.

Last summer the London born 18 year old was supposed to go on City's tour to America but he didn't end up going and instead of signing a new deal he decided he wanted to leave the club.

Dortmund came in and signed him for £8 million and straight away handed him the number seven shirt vacated by Ousmane Dembele's move to Barcelona.


Sancho played 12 times for Dortmund last season and the 18 year old was even called back early from the under 17s World Cup in order to play for the first team.

Already this season he has two assists from three games and surely can't be far off getting a call up for the senior national team.

Will other England players follow his lead and move abroad?
