Harry Kane Speaks Out About Sergio Ramos And Mo Salah Clash

The England captain comes up against the Spain captain for the first time since his clash with Mo Salah in the Champions League final.

Sergio Ramos plays in England this evening for the first time since he viscously attacked Mo Salah in the Champions League final, that's what happened right? Now the England captain has had his say.

If you heard a loud booing sometime in the last 48 hours and were left totally baffled by it then it was probably a noise coming from the north west as a majority of the city of Liverpool let their feelings be known as the plane carrying the Spanish national team touched down in England.

That of course is because Sergio Ramos is with them and the Real Madrid defender is pretty much the only reason why Liverpool aren't European champions right now, or something like that.

Of course the Real captain clashed early on with Mo Salah, dragging the Egyptian forward down to the ground, and rendering his shoulder useless and meaning he had to be replaced by Adam Lallana, no wonder Liverpool fans hate him (Sorry Adam, you're very talented really).

Now Ramos is in the country to play England as the Three Lions kick off their Nations League campaign with a match against the 2010 World champions and Harry Kane has had his say on the Los Blancos captain, saying:

"I haven't spoken to Jordan about him or the Champions League final (defeat), I don't think he would want to talk about that too much, as I wouldn't.

"But Ramos is a competitive player. A great, great defender on and off the ball. We played against him last year against Madrid.

"He's a tough centre-half. He wasn't over the top, he didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

"He tests the boundaries, but that's what the referees are there for."

It's a risky strategy for Kane, suggesting that Ramos wasn't over the top and risking the ire of the entire Liverpool supporting section of England fans.

Spain and Ramos will still be licking their wounds after the World Cup with one of the favourites for the tournament crashing out of the second round against hosts Russia on penalties.

Even before the loss there were questions about them. Having lost Julen Lopetegui on the eve of the tournament they drew with Portugal, narrowly beat Iran 1-0 and drew with Morocco.

England are still riding high on the back of the semi-final run that saw them fall short against Croatia, who they'll also come up against in the Nations League.

First they must avoid not being killed by Ramos.
