Marc Barta gave a hugely emotional interview after returning to action for Borussia Dortmund for the first time since being injured in a bomb attack on the team bus.

The Spanish defender was the only player on the bus to have sustained an injury before the team's Champions League clash with AS Monaco.

Following his injury, UEFA controversially rescheduled the game for the next day which was heavily criticised from players to their boss Thomas Tuchel.

But over a month removed from the incident, Bartra completed the full 90 minutes on the final day of the Bundesliga season, as Borussia Dortmund beat Werder Bremen 4-3.

And once the full-time whistle blew, Bartra broke down in tears on the pitch as he saluted the crowd before giving a moving post-match interview.

The 26-year-old detailed his return to the starting XI while holding back the tears, and even claiming it was the happiest day of his professional career.
