Do you think you could play for one of the most watched teams in Non-League football? Well, this could be the perfect opportunity to showcase your talents.

Following the success of Hashtag United's first academy series - a competition were thousands of players competed for a contract at the Non-League side - founder Spencer Owen has decided to launch another one called 'Second Chance.'

If you were to win the process, then there are a number of benefits:

  • Paid contract for 2019/20 worth up to £5,000.
  • You become an Adidas Glitch athlete with sponsorship package
  • You will play in the ninth tier of English football

Almost 20,000 people applied for last year's process, but only a select few were chosen for the trial.

It was an incredibly entertaining journey but Scott Pollock, who now plays at League Two side Northampton, was the eventual winner after coming up against Jack Durkin in the final.

The rise of Pollock is a great example of how Hashtag United's huge platform, a team who have over 440,000 subscribers on YouTube, can help you progress through the system.

Starting out as a team of friends from school and university before it became a collection of some of the biggest YouTube personalities, Hashtag have gone on to become one of the most popular non-league teams in the country.

In fact, they most recently won the Eastern Senior League South after picking up a point against Hackney Wick.

Hashtag United manager Jay Devereux, who joined the club at the start of the season, thanked their loyal fan base after the full-time whistle:

"League tables don't lie. I'm so immensely proud of our football club." he said.

"Thank you to everyone who had supported us this season - near, far, in person or by watching on here. You are all champions."

Do you know someone who would be the perfect fit for Hashtag United? Or why not give it a go yourself.
