Antoine Griezmann might be playing for a place in the Europa League final against Arsenal tonight but the Atletico Madrid forward still showed concern for his opponent as Laurent Koscielny was stretchered off injured.

Arsene Wenger's only chance of leaving Arsenal after 22 years with silverware and on a high comes in the Europa League. Victory in the competition would give him a first European trophy and passage into next season's Champions League for the Gunners.

That was always going to be a difficult task for the north London side as they had to beat Atletico Madrid away from home, or draw with a scoreline of 2-2 or greater, just to make the final.

Though they didn't score themselves in the opening they also didn't concede however they were dealt with a blow half way through the first period when Laurent Koscielny had to be stretchered off.

Atleti forward Antoine Griezmann looked visibly upset as he put rivalry aside for his countryman who will potentially miss the World Cup now:

Griezmann's goal in the first leg after a mistake by Koscielny gave Atleti the advantage in the first leg as it meant they travelled home with an away goal despite playing much of the game with just 10 men.

The French forward, who is reportedly set to leave Madrid in the summer, will be very concerned about his fellow countryman leaving the pitch in such a state as it now looks likely he will miss this summer's World Cup.

A blow to France's chances of winning.
