We're now on the cusp of the top 10 players on FIFA 18, and the debates and discussions have certainly been flowing over the course of the top 100 players and their ratings being revealed.

Just to name a few talking points: Henrikh Mkhitaryan being rated higher than Sadio Mane caused a stir with Liverpool fans, Paul Pogba getting a downgrade from FIFA 17 and being on the same level as his 87-rated compatriot N'Golo Kante riled up Manchester United fans, who shared their annoyance at EA Sports again when they discovered Mesut Ozil's 88-rated card.

And now the latest social media wrangling amongst fans is over the ratings of two teenage talents plying their trade in Manchester.

Ever since Gabriel Jesus made his debut for Manchester City after his £27 million move from Palmeiras, he and Manchester United hot-shot Marcus Rashford have been regularly compared to the point where you genuinely can't get away from it.

Rashford, who scored for both club and country in the past week, was weighed up against Kelechi Iheanacho when he was firing for Manchester City - and now with Jesus' superior ability forcing the Nigerian to move to Leicester City, whatever these young sensations do, they are constantly measured up against one another like a low-key Messi-Ronaldo debate. You only have to type in 'Rashford Jesus' on Twitter to get an idea of the endless comparisons.

And it's carried over into the FIFA 18 ratings conversation. Neither Rashford or Jesus are in the top 100 players but their cards appear to have been prematurely leaked online.

Alhough both look like they are going to do some serious damage on the game, Jesus being deemed two ratings better than his counterpart has hit a nerve with some.

The Brazilian international has been a revelation since cutting his teeth into the Premier League by wildly celebrating a debut goal against Tottenham only to find out it was offside, scoring 10 goals and chipping in with four assists in his 14 outings. His mature beyond his years displays have resulted in EA Sports giving him a juicy 81-rated card, which boasts four star weak foot, five star skills, 88 pace, 85 dribbling and 80 shooting.

Considering his 78-rated card was a late addition to the FIFA 17 database after he burst onto the scene in January, Jesus going up by three in that short space of time is testament to his special talents.

Likewise, Rashford is three ratings better off than he was on last year's game. The youngest goalscorer in a Manchester derby was rated 76 on FIFA 17 and an 11-goal first full campaign as a professional last season has led to a 79-rated striker card, with 90 pace, 81 dribbling and 76 shooting, this time around.

Here's what fans made of the pair's ratings:
