Manchester City newboy Benjamin Mendy has caused a stir on social media tonight after indulging in a spot of mickey taking during City's 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion, this evening.
The former Monaco man sat out City's opening day victory with an injury, but was quick to react when an unfortunate own goal from Seagulls defender Lewis Dunk sealed the three points for Pep Guardiola's men.

The tweet was in reference to Dunk's powerful header that he unwittingly sent past goalkeeper Mathew Ryan and it didn't go down well with some fans on social media, as well as Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, who had been covering the game for BT Sport, with former Liverpool captain Gerrard deeming the message to be disrespectful to Dunk.

Mendy, however, was quick to reply to one of his detractors:
