Danny Rose Misses Out Of North London Derby Despite Fitness

The Spurs full-back played for England midweek but isn't even on the bench for Spurs.

Just where is Danny Rose? The Spurs full-back was fit enough to play for England in midweek and is at the Emirates today but the left-back isn't even on the bench, fuelling rumours of a January move.

Before England's games against Germany and Brazil they lost some of their best players through injury. Included in the mix were three Spurs players in the shape of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Harry Winks.

Amazingly just over a week after England and the World champions played out a 0-0 draw the three Spurs players were available and ready to start in the North London derby. Call me a cynic but I'm not convinced they were THAT injured.

One player from Mauricio Pochettino's side that did play in midweek was Danny Rose, admittedly he did only play for about a minute. But the former Leeds United player wasn't even on the bench for Spurs this afternoon.

With speculation that the 27 year-old could move to Manchester United in the future social media was abuzz with activity:

United have been short of a left-back all season. Luke Shaw has had fitness and form issues for his entire Manchester United spell but Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian have been unconvincing.

Ashley Young has been Jose Mourinho's best pick in the position but there's no doubt that Danny Rose would be an enticing proposition for the Red Devils.

Rose has only started two games for Spurs this season but if it was a fitness issue you'd have expected him to be on the bench at very least.

Will he move to United or elsewhere in the summer?
