Twitter have changed their header to a picture of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino after a bizarre exchange.

Liverpool beat Spurs 2-1 on Sunday to return to the summit of the Premier League, with Salah's header fumbled by Hugo Lloris before being poked in by Toby Alderweireld in the 90th minute.

Salah and Firmino wheeled away in celebration and the picture captured is now Twitter's new background.

Why? Well, Twitter posted a "Truth or Dare?" message to their 56 million followers with a Liverpool fan replying: "D A R E."

Twitter immediately fired back: "Change your header to a pic of Everton".

'Highlight', to his credit, uploaded an image of Everton's badge and made it his profile picture before removing it.

Twitter then returned the favour by changing their header to a pair of Liverpool heroes.

Liverpool's U.S account reacted by changing their header, too.

Needless to say, this strange Twitter interaction sent social media into overdrive. Here's some reaction:

How's Twitter still free?!
