Real Madrid wonderkid Takefusa Kubo was eager to chat with Eden Hazard during his first training sessions as a Los Blancos player.

Kubo, who has been labelled 'The Japanese Messi', joined the club from FC Tokyo this summer after a number of top European clubs expressed an interest.

And he's clearly brimming with confidence after approaching the former Chelsea player in training earlier.

"I watch your videos before my match!" he beamed.

Kubo has impressed in his short time at the club. In fact, the 18-year-old could find himself featuring in Zinedine Zidane's first-team squad much sooner than expected.

Spanish newspaper Diario AS claims that the Japan international has received warm approval from the Madrid coaching staff since his arrival.

And he could be promoted to some first-team appearances should he continue to impress in the new season.

Kubo has travelled with the Madrid squad to Montreal for their pre-season training camp and has been working well alongside the senior player.

According to AS, the Madrid dressing room agreed that the former Barcelona youth product is 'not out of place.

Do you think Zidane should take a chance and play Kubo in the coming months?

He certainly looks the real deal in training.
