In the first leg of the League Cup semi-final tonight, Manchester City host high-flyers Bristol City and Pep Guardiola's side are expected to produce another result in cup competition.

Ahead of the fixture, a rumour circulated on Twitter that City had offered schools hundreds of free tickets to fill up the stadium, but plenty of empty seats were still visible.
On the other hand, Bristol City brought an impressive 8,000 fans to the Etihad.
Plenty of people on social media pointed out that City, who have arguably played the most attractive football in Europe this season, should be able to sell out for a League Cup semi-final.

One Twitter user even suggested that the Etihad hosted a fancy dress competition tonight, as 'loads dressed up as empty seats'.
As we mentioned earlier, Bristol brought an impressive 8,000 people to the Etihad - a record away attendance at the stadium.
