Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe gave the football world a fascinating insight into management this week during pre-season training.

The 41-year-old is currently in La Manga, Spain, with his team ahead of the new Premier League campaign and in one particular session, the club decided to mic him up.

Howe's every word was captured on camera and it makes for brilliant viewing.

The three minute clip just highlights how much enthusiasm, intensity and effort goes into a routine training session.

Back in 2009, Howe took charge of his first Bournemouth game where they dropped down to 23rd in League Two.

Ten years later, the Amersham-born manager has masterminded an incredible rise up the ranks which ultimately culminated in winning promotion to England's top flight.

It sounds like Howe is happy with the club's progress in pre-season but admits they are a "work in progress."

"The players have been really well drilled, we've covered a lot of work in different aspects of our team, shape and everything that we work on." he said in an interview with afcbTV.

"But I think we're a work in progress."

Where will Bournemouth finish this season? Can they improve on last season's campaign?

Let us know in the comments.
