Everton were victorious in the FA Cup yesterday as former striker Romelu Lukaku scored twice to sink Chelsea's chances of securing silverware this season.

And according to reports, Diego Costa caused huge controversy after he sunk his teeth into Gareth Barry's shoulder. APPARENTLY.

Despite claims, Gareth Barry has leapt to the defence of under-fire Diego Costa insisting the Chelsea forward did not try to bite him during Saturday's FA Cup tie.

Barry wrote the following on his Fanzai account:

"Seen a lot of talk about the incident involving me and Diego Costa in the game last night.

"For the record Diego did not bite me".
