380,000 Fans Have Voted On The 'Who Is The Best' Between Lionel Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo

Gary Lineker has Tweeted a poll asking football fans from around the world to vote for who they think is the best between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, with 380,000 people voting.

Both Messi and Ronaldo performed heroically for Barcelona and Juventus, respectively, in the Champions League as they steered their side into the next round of the competition.

On Tuesday, the Portuguese superstar scored a stunning hat-trick to overturn a deficit to secure Juventus' spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Messi also delivered a sensational outing the following day by creating and scoring in Barcelona's 5-1 victory over Lyon.

Naturally, fans have been comparing their individual performances with Lineker posting a poll to determine the best.

Over 380,000 people voted as Messi recorded 62% of the votes with Ronaldo garnering 38% of the votes.

Needless to say, fans were going back-and-forth in the comments.

It's a cliche but we should realise how fortunate we are to be able to see them perform week-in and week-out.
