To the surprise of absolutely no one, Graeme Souness has criticised Paul Pogba as well as teammate Romelu Lukaku for wanting to leave Manchester United this summer.

Lukaku is likely to depart Old Trafford in the coming days with United locked in negotiations with Juventus' Paulo Dybala regarding a swap deal.

The Belgian has also been linked to Inter Milan with Antonio Conte being an admirer.

Whereas Pogba told reporters in Tokyo back in June that he thinks it is time for a 'new challenge' after three years in Manchester.

Former Liverpool captain Souness has explained that he feels Pogba and Lukaku's poor attitudes at Old Trafford are an issue and that teammates wouldn't be upset should they depart the team.

Speaking to The Daily Star, the Sky Sports pundit explained:

"It's difficult when you have a player who doesn't want to be at the club. Players are all-powerful now.

"Pogba and Lukaku say they're off because they want to play for a bigger club and Champions League football.

"They already play for a massive club. United are a monster - always have been, always will be. Inter Milan aren't bigger than them.

"And they say it's because United aren't in the Champions League."

The 66-year-old also stated that the pair are part of the problem at the 'Theatre of Dreams' and why United aren't winning the Champions League or qualifying for it.

"They don't want to be there. Well, the others won't want them there either."

In spite of Souness' issues with the duo's conduct, Pogba has shown professionalism by involving himself in United's preparations for the new season.

The Frenchman missed United's final pre-season game against AC Milan yesterday due to a back injury, although Spanish reports claimed it was Pogba refusing to play.

Despite the transfer speculation, it's unlikely the World Cup winner departs this summer.

Lukaku on the other hand has not featured for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side since last season, playing no part in United's six pre-season victories.

Furthermore, the 26-year-old has apparently found himself in trouble with teammates after posting training stats in a now deleted Twitter post, showing Luke Shaw with the slowest speed.

The Telegraph reported that the post was 'dimly received' by his manager and was ordered to remove the post 'immediately'.
