Barcelona fans have been voting for their clubs best goals across the years, and the top three have all been scored by that man, Lionel Messi.

The number one spot has been voted as Messi's incredible solo goal against Getafe in 2007; It just had to be.

The Argentine picked up the ball around the half way line and just 10 seconds later, the ball was in the back of the net.

Barcelona were playing Getafe in the semi-final of the Spanish Cup, with both teams hoping to advance with a chance to win some silverware.

Suddenly the stadium burst into celebration when a fresh faced Lionel Messi dribbled past the whole Getafe side and slotted the ball in the back of the net.

The move started when Xavi passed to Messi on the right, around the halfway line.

Messi was quickly closed down by two players, but his lightning fast feet saw him easily go past Paredes and Nacho.

Covering 60 metres and only touching the ball 13 times, Messi proceeded to cut inside Alexis and then straightened back up onto goal past Belenguer.

He's one on one with the keeper.

Most players would panic in this situation, given he has just beaten 6 defenders and a chance to score a wondergoal. But not Messi.

Messi proceeds to drop his shoulder and go around the Getafe keeper before calmly slotting the ball into the net, despite a last-ditch slide tackle from Getafe's Pablo Redondo.

Former Barcelona player Deco said

"It was the best goal I have ever seen in my life." Maradona once scored a very similar goal, but Barcelona's sporting director Txiki Begiristain commented "I hope Maradona can forgive me, but I think Messi's goal is even better."

Just in case you forgot, Messi also scored Barcelona's second and third best goals, against Athletico and Real Madrid. What a player.
