Tranmere Rovers fans will try and rally their team at Wembley this afternoon as they come up against Newport County in the play-off final.

The League Two side are inches away from promotion after beating Forest Green in the play-off semi-final last week and one man in particular was over the moon with the result.

Premier League referee and all-round entertainer Mike Dean gave the world further reason to adore him after he was spotted celebrating like he'd just scored the winner in a World Cup final.

If you haven't seen this yet then you're in for a treat. Take it away, Michael...

Whether the man himself will turn up to Saturday's final is anyone's guess, but they is sure to plenty of imposters roaming the streets of London in the coming hours.

That's because a number of supporters will be wearing Mike Dean masks, after footage emerged online of a group of fans wearing the incredible fancy dress idea.

Twitter user @followthatnick posted a picture from the bus full of fans, while a video soon emerged, capturing the rapturous scenes.

It's understandable as to why Dean is being lauded as one of the all-time greats.

From letting Lewis Dunk know to leave the pitch by saying "off you pop!" to becoming the first referee to reach 100 red cards, it has been a sensational season for the 50-year-old.

And perhaps he gave us his greatest moment ever last week, establishing himself as a proper Tranmere Ultra.

Can Tranmere secure League One status in the 3pm kick-off?

Let us know in the comments.
