A young Starbucks worker couldn't hide his excitement at serving James Milner this weekend.

The Liverpool midfielder was in one of the coffee giants' shops earlier with teammate Adam Lallana when the funny meeting happened.

Liverpool returned to pre-season training this afternoon and the pair must have been grabbing a well-earned coffee after some tough sessions.

They probably didn't expect to bump into Milner's biggest fan though.

Fortunately for all of us, Lallana was on hand to film the barista's reaction - and it's pretty funny.

Liverpool started back pre-season today, just over a month after they beat Tottenham to win the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp's team play Tranmere in midweek before taking on Bradford City next weekend.

And they will then fly out to America for a pre-season tour, where they'll face Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon before returning to play Napoli - in Scotland - and Lyon ahead of the Charity Shield against Manchester City at the start of August.

Coming up against the likes of Joe Gomez, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Fabinho, Milner cruised in the pre-season fitness test this weekend.

Fans were not only delighted to see Milner in tip top shape ahead of the new campaign but Joe Gomez's physcial condition was another highlight after he struggled with injuries last season.

"We should probably just blow our entire transfer budget on developing a potion that will enable Milner to play for another 20 years."

Now there is a shout.

James Milner, the man who never ages.
