Fans Are Embarrassed With How Empty The Etihad Is For City's EFL Cup Match

Manchester City have been left red-faced after the number of empty seats spotted at the Etihad Stadium in their EFL Cup clash with Burton Albion.

Okay, rival supporters have always loved every chance they could call it the 'Emptyhad,' but it might have hit a new low in their first-leg semi-final match.

Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the lack of attendance at the match.

Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola's men in the fifth minute. Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus scored a first-half brace and Oleksandr Zinchenko added in City's fourth before half-time.

In other EFL Cup news, Tottenham Hotspur beat Chelsea 1-0 in their first-leg semi-final match at Wembley Stadium, with Harry Kane scoring a first-half penalty after VAR was called into action.

It's safe to say that Blues boss Maurizio Sarri was not happy with how VAR did not rule the Spurs striker offside.

Which two teams will make it to the final of the EFL Cup?
