Fan Creates A Thread For Why Lionel Messi Doesn't Deserve The 2019 Ballon D'Or

Lionel Messi might have missed out on the Champions League crown this season, but there are still many, many football fans seeing him as an early favourite for the 2019 Ballon d'Or.

After all, the Barcelona captain has won the La Liga title and he could also capture the Copa del Rey on Saturday when his side take on Valencia on Saturday.

Of course, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has had a fantastic individual season, having scored at least 50 times for the sixth time in his career, currently the top scorer in the Champions League (highly unlikely to be dethroned from the top spot) and leading the charge for the European Golden Shoe.

While there are many different aspects that would put him forward for a record-breaking sixth Ballon d'Or, one fan doesn't agree with the Argentina captain winning it.

In fact, the fan in question has made a short thread explaining why Messi shouldn't win France Football's coveted prize.

Sure, it might not be the most viral thread in history -- not like the one that tried to 'expose' Thierry Henry -- but the Twitter user has definitely rattled a fair few people online.
