In an action packed first half at Vicarage Road, Watford captain Troy Deeney was given a straight red card after appearing to elbow Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira, just seconds after going behind.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he took advantage of Ben Foster's poor clearance. The ball rebounded off the Gabon international's leg and luckily found the net.
Foster won't want to watch this one again:
Then just moments later, Deeney lashed out at his opponent in a controversial decision. Do you think referee Craig Pawson was right to hand out the red card on this occasion?
Check out the incident below:
Back in 2017, Deeney was quoted as saying: <span class="css-76zvg2 css-16my406 r-1qd0xha r-ad9z0x r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0" ">"Whenever I play Arsenal, I'll go up and think, 'Let me whack the first one and see who wants it."
And back in January, the forward gave his honest opinion on Arsenal's situation and fans were fuming about it.
He claimed the Gunners were way off the pace in the Premier League whilst saying they're six, seven or eight transfer windows behind the big boys.
"Everyone knows me and Arsenal don't get on too well," he said.
Unai Emery's Arsenal side still lead at the break at 10-men Watford have it all to do.
Who do you think will win this one?
