In the past, Champions League quarter-finals have been known to be 'cagey' affairs.

Teams sit back and defend their lead, putting plenty of players behind the ball. It's an understandable tactic but tonight's game between Man City and Spurs completely ripped that game plan apart with a half full of goals, goals and more goals.

It didn't take long for the game to find a goal.

Raheem Sterling, as he's done so often this season, opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a quality strike, but Tottenham soon hit back after Son Heung-Min netted to equalise.

Minutes later the South Korean put his side ahead in the tenth minute with a curling effort, before you guessed it, Bernando Silva leveled the tie AGAIN in the 11th minute.

It was the fastest four goals scored in a game in the history of the Champions League, and people have a theory behind this goal fest madness.

Many on social media have complained about the kit clash in tonight's game at the Etihad.

Some have even pointed out that this colour headache could be the reason behind why there's so many goals.

"Four goals in 10 minutes because they haven't got a clue who's on who's team with this kit clash." said one Twitter user.

Another commented: "It must be the kit clash causing this game, no one can see what's going on...goals galore!"
