Ebbsfleet United's match with Boreham Wood descended into chaos today after a fight broke out between fans and players.

Ebbsfleet 'keeper Nathan Ashmore hopped the barricade and confronted Boreham fans.

Footage of the incident has been posted on Twitter, which can be viewed below.




Crazy scenes, right?

"But there's a fracas in the crowd now," Ebbsfleet tweeted at the time. "Referee trying to restore order with players standing by close in.

"That now seems to have eased. Hopefully, nothing further will come of that."

The National League match between the two teams ended 0-0.

Football fans have flocked to social media and are shocked by what they have seen.
