But amidst Victor Wanyama and Mohamed Salah netting stunners, Alli was subject to plenty of abuse for his shameless dive which got picked up, rightfully getting cautioned by referee Jon Moss.
He not only received hate on social media, but also on the pitch courtesy of Andrew Robertson and Lovren who immediately approached him following his theatrical fall.
And a few days removed from the Premier League clash, Lovren has renewed hostilities by trolling Alli online.

He's posted a picture of himself and Robertson confronting Alli, accompanied with the words: "Robo I will tell him..."
Liverpool fans celebrated the post.
