Manchester United Sent A Paul Pogba Related Email To Fans At The Most Awkward Time

What were they thinking?!

Either Manchester United were purposely trolling Paul Pogba or they sent out an email to fans at the most awkward time possible.

Following the deserved 2-0 defeat to Spurs at Wembley, the Frenchman's 36-match winning streak in the Premier League came to an end.

United's club-record signing was very disappointing in the game, struggling to get on the ball and affect the game in the way he would normally do, as well as being showing a lack of defensive discipline in a midfield two alongside Nemanja Matic.

Incredibly, not too long after Pogba's poor performance, United fans received a marketing email from the club urging them to buy the new Adidas boots - which is all fair and good given they are partners.

But advertising the boots by using the slogan, 'Control the game like Pogba' was just a tad awkward after it came a day removed from Pogba doing anything but controlling the game against Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Here's how fans reacted:

Pogba was hooked after 62 minutes in Wednesday's game, following on from a heated touchline discussion with Jose Mourinho.

It appeared as though the former Juventus midfielder was not listening to Mourinho's instructions and it wasn't long before he was brought off.

Maybe United and Adidas should have timed that email better!
