Manchester City fell to just their second loss in the Premier League this season as Crystal Palace surprised everyone in a 3-2 win over the champions, helping Liverpool's title challenge in the process.
Crystal Palace shocked everyone with a 3-2 win away against Manchester City as Pep Guardiola's team threw away a lead to remain four points behind Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table going into Christmas.
Ilkay Gundogan gave the Premier League champions the lead in the first half but just six minutes later Jeffrey Schlupp put Roy Hodgson's side level.

Before half-time Andros Townsend put Palace ahead with an absolute worldie of a goal. If fans were expecting City to come out in the second 45 and turn things around they were soon proved wrong. Kyle Walker gave away a penalty just six minutes into the second half and Luka Milivojević made it 3-1 from the spot.
Ironically last season Milivojevic missed a late. penalty against City as Palace should have been the first side to beat them in the league.
Kevin de Bruyne made it a nervy last few minutes with a 'fluked' goal in the 85th minute.
Last season City only lost twice all year with the loss to Liverpool in February and the loss against Manchester United the only blots on their copybook.

Already Guardiola's side have lost twice this season with the loss against Chelsea earlies this month being followed by the shock against Palace.
The result, coupled with Liverpool's win on Friday night against Wolves, means that the Reds go into Christmas four points clear of their nearest rivals.
This could be the weekend that turns the title race in Liverpool's favour but there's still a long way to go, surely no one saw this one coming. Well almost no one...
