There's a long time yet before the transfer window closes and yet it seems like a hell of a long time ago that everyone was left red faced by Virgil van Dijk's potential transfer. Liverpool fans clearly think a move is still possible.
Last month, before the transfer window was even officially open, it looked certain that Liverpool would make their annual Southampton signing by bringing Virgil van Dijk on the road most travelled from the south coast to the north west.

Sure Chelsea and Manchester City were interested in a £60 million move for the centre-back but according to reports the Dutchman had his eyes set on a move to Anfield, presumably because he missed Dejan Lovren.
However Southampton reported Jurgen Klopp and his team to the FA for tapping up their player and the Reds had to make an apology and back away from any potential transfer, although reports have still linked him with a move.
Today is the former Celtic man's birthday, HB Virgil, and Southampton posted on Twitter to avoid a Yaya Toure situation:
But it was Liverpool fans who were most excited to reply to the message:
