Following his loan move from Paris Saint-Germain, Jese started for Stoke City on Saturday and made an instant impact by scoring on his debut. And after the game, Gary Linker posted the perfect Tweet.

Arsenal endured more misery at Stoke with the Spanish winger bagging the only goal of the game.

The Potters secured the impressive loan signing only a few days ago but Mark Hughes was not afraid to hand him a first Premier League start.

Saido Berahino brilliantly created the opportunity by slipping through a pass with Jese smartly tucking the ball into the corner to give Stoke the lead, and ultimately the three points.

And the 'Match of the Day' host perfectly summed up his debut by Tweeting the following post: "Jesé showing he can do it on a wet Saturday night in Stoke."

Stoke will be hoping it's the first of many goals from Jese.

The Potters earn their first points of the new season following the opening day defeat to Everton.

Meanwhile, the Stoke gaffer is understandably excited about the prospect of the 24-year-old plying his trade at the bet365 stadium.

Prior to the game, Hughes said: "The top and bottom of it is that Jese is an elite player and when you get the opportunity to bring that level of player to your club then you've got to try to pursue it to its conclusion," via Stoke Sentinel.

Hughes' attention now turns to the League Cup as they entertain league one outfit Rochdale before facing a trip to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
