Alexis Sanchez was brilliant in Arsenal's 2-0 win over West Brom at the Emirates last night but he's still managed to anger plenty of fans on social media.

The Gunners edged out Tony Pulis' side by two goals to nil in Monday night's game at the Emirates, with club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette maintaining his sublime goalscoring record on home soil by notching a further two strikes at Arsenal's stomping ground.

Lacazette pounced in the box in the 20th minute after Alexis Sanchez's free-kick was brilliantly saved by Ben Forster, before adding a second from the spot in the second half and making it four goals in three Premier League outings at the Emirates.

Sanchez certainly didn't play like a man who couldn't have been much closer to leaving the club on deadline day, yet his actions early in the second half haven't gone down well.

Making his third start of the season, Sanchez, for the second game running, opted to express himself on the pitch by doing some kick-ups when on the ball down the left.

Unlike in the 1-0 Carabao Cup win over Doncaster in midweek, Sanchez's showboating didn't last long as he saw the ball pinched off him by Jay Rodriguez, who caused Arsenal plenty of problems last night.

The fact that he was doing that in the 51st minute, with his team only 1-0, prompted plenty of reactions:

But no-one was more furious with Sanchez than West Brom boss Tony Pulis. For the tenth consecutive game at the Emirates, Pulis tasted defeat and he accused the 29-year old for cheating in the build-up to the opening goal.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, he said:

"In the game's first free-kick Sanchez dives and should be booked. That's cheating. Then the tackle in the box on Jay, it is a stonewall penalty."
