Zlatan Ibrahimovic was taken off injured after picking up a nasty looking injury in the last second of normal time as Manchester United were taken to extra time by Anderlecht in the Europa League.

On some occasions, as with Seamus Coleman's recent injury, a really nasty leg breaking challenge results in a terrible injury.

However more often than not it's the inconspicuous moments that lead to the worst injuries and that's what seems to have happened to Ibrahimovic.

The big Swede was playing for United in the quarter final of the Europa League tonight. With the 90 minutes all but over Michael Carrick played a long ball toward Ibrahimovic.

The former Barcelona striker looked to have brought the ball down but as he landed his leg looked to have hyper extended which led to him being stretchered off:
