He wasn't happy with the skipper's performance.

Paul Scholes ripped into Paul Pogba after Manchester United drew a third game in a row to lose even more ground on league leaders Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho's side now lie in third following the stalemate with Southampton, which was another drab display at Old Trafford.

United legend Scholes was fuming in the BT Sport studio after the game, and though he criticised several of the Red Devils' first-teamers, took issue what Pogba's performance in particular.

He felt the £89 million man should have been more influential today given that he's supposed to be a match-winner - and says he's yet to see the same Pogba who lit up Serie A with Juventus.

"Where's the Paul Pogba we saw at Juventus?" Scholes said.

"He was all over the pitch, he was tackling, he was fighting, he was sprinting to people, he was scoring goals from 25 yards out. He's just strolling through a game.

"He needs to be the one creating chances, scoring goals. These players need to realise their strengths, he's so strong and quick, you can't get near him. He doesn't use his strength, he needs to realise that himself.

"He does not look like a player who will win you games and that is what you pay £90 million for."

Plenty of United fans agreed with Scholes' fair assessment of Pogba, who clearly has bags of ability but has yet to replicate his devastating Juventus form.

Does Pogba need to do more or does this United team not suit him?
