Sergio Aguero scored in the first half of Argentina's loss against Nigeria on Tuesday evening before being taken to hospital at half-time after he reportedly fainted in the dressing room.

The last thing any club manager wants to hear about when it's the international window is one of his most important players getting injured but Pep Guardiola's first thoughts will be about his players welfare rather than his team's game against Leicester City on Saturday.

Argentina had a mini 'tour' to Russia during the international break with friendlies in the host nation for next summer's World Cup against Russia on Saturday and then on Tuesday evening against Nigeria.

Aguero scored the winner, and only goal of the game, at the weekend and on Tuesday he scored Argentina's second as they went 2-0 up in the first half against Nigeria.

However reports claim that in the break he was rushed to hospital after he fainted in the changing room. Later the club denied that he'd fainted but dizzy spells had seen him taken to a local hospital:

A club statement by City said, "Sergio Aguero has been cleared by doctors to return to Manchester as planned after suffering a dizzy spell during Argentina's 4-2 defeat by Nigeria in Krasnodar today.

"Sergio never lost consciousness, and was taken to hospital for precautionary medical checks. He will be assessed by the club's medical team ahead of this weekend's Premier League trip to Leicester City."

A bit of a scare from the former Atletico Madrid striker but it seems like everything was fine in the end but whether or not he'll be back in time for Saturday is a question for Guardiola.

Aguero might have felt a bit dizzy again after finding out his teammates collapsed without him in the second half with Nigeria winning the game 4-2.
