Chelsea Player Goes On Rant About Clubs Youth System

The Blues have been accused over the years of not bringing their brightest talent through to the first team.

The last time a Chelsea player really broke through the youth ranks to become a permanent first teamer it worked out really well. The problem is that hasn't happened at all recently and one of their brightest talents is very frustrating.

That player who rose from the youth team to be a permanent fixture in the full team side was of course John Terry, the most successful player in the club's history, the captain, leader and legend synonymous with Abramovich era Chelsea.

But it was the turn of the century that the centre back, now at Aston Villa, made his way into the first team and since then he has only been momentarily been joined in the history books as players to make the first team.

More often than not the Blues have been known for signing big money players and allowing their youth players to go out on loan. Nathaniel Chalobah and Nathan Ake both left Stamford Bridge permanently this summer after multiple loans and failed attempts to make it into Antonio Conte's plans.

One player who stuck around in west London this season in hope of breaking the glass ceiling seemingly in place for young players was Charly Musonda but the 20 year old has been left frustrated and took to Instagram last night in a rant seemingly against the club:

Musonda spent the 2015/16 season on loan at Real Betis and in the first half of last season he was also at the Spanish club but, like Ake returning from Bournemouth, he was back at Chelsea for the second half of the season.

Though he didn't make any appearances last season he wasn't loaned out again this term and was no doubt hoping to get more first team action. However this season he has only played one minute of Premier League football so far.

In case anyone was suspicious that the post on Instagram wasn't to do with Chelsea the player's brother seemingly replied to the social media post confirming everyone's suspicions:

Musonda, who's been at 'The Bridge' since 2012, was recently described as 'Belgium's best talent ever. Purely if you look at his technical skills,' by Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur and might have been hoping to make the national side for next summer's World Cup.

His future at Chelsea doesn't look bright.
