It might be April Fool's Day but when it comes to football the month of April won't be treating us like fools, instead the next month promises to deliver some hugely important games, especially in the Champions League, Bundesliga and Premier League.

Huddersfield Town's relegation on Saturday was shockingly early, only the second time in the Premier League's history a club's gone down before the end of March, but it did officially kick off the 'Business End' of the season.

On Tuesday Fulham could follow the Terriers as the next team to head back to the Championship, if they lose to Watford, leaving an intriguing battle to stay away from the final relegation spot.

Liverpool's late win against Spurs on Sunday took them back to the top of the table with Manchester City's game in hand coming against Cardiff City on Wednesday.

It threatens to be a very exciting end of the season in the Premier League but it's not just over here where the excitement is about to kick off an April's fixtures are looking pretty juicy.

It kicks off at the weekend, Saturday April 6th, with Bayern Munich hosting Bundeliga leaders Borussia Dortmund. In recent weeks Bayern had gone level on points with Dortmund but last weekend Niko Kovac's side drew with Freiburg whilst Dortmund scored two late goals to beat Wolfsburg.

Also on Saturday Barcelona face Atletico Madric at the Camp Nou and Juventus host an AC Milan side competing for the top four. There's also the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend.

Next week the Champions League returns with excellent quarter finals as Spurs host Manchester City and Liverpool host Porto on Tuesday 9th.

The following day Manchester United host Barcelona and Juvetus travel to Amsterdam to face Ajax. Thursday also sees Arsenal host Napoli in the Europa League, along with the other fixtures.

Saturday 13th is a huge day for the Premier League's relegation fight as Burnley and Cardiff play at Turf Moor in a real 'six pointer.'

The following day might well be Liverpool's toughest task left in the league this season when Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea visit Anfield.

Champions League and Europa League quarter final second legs take place on April 16th, 17th and 18th.

Saturday 20th sees Inter and Roma continue the battle for third and fourth in Serie A and Manchester City host Spurs for the second time in a week.

On Wednesday Pep Guardiola's side continue and incredible week when they travel to Old Trafford with top four aspirations and title dreams on the line.

If that's not enough before the month is out the Champions Leaugue semi finals start on the last day of the month.

We're sure there's some other great fixtures to come this month too, so what are you most looking forward to?
