Zlatan Ibrahimovic Makes Hilariously Brilliant Bet With David Beckham Ahead Of Sweden-England

The stakes are high...

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has proposed a brilliant offer with former teammate David Beckham in relation to the big World Cup quarter final game between Sweden and England tomorrow.

The two household names were teammates at Paris Saint-Germain when Beckham ended his career in the French capital and have remained close pals - with 'Becks' taking Zlatan out for dinner and playing a part in his decision to move to MLS side LA Galaxy, his former side.

The 36-year old, Sweden's all-time top scorer, wasn't selected for the national team for the showpiece but will no doubt be cheering on his country to do the business tomorrow.

And he's trying to arrange a deal with Beckham in which he'd take him wherever he wants for the dinner if England win, with 'Golden Balls' having to buy him whatever he wants from IKEA if the Swedes emerge victorious. The stakes couldn't be much bigger.

While it's a very tempting offer that Ibrahimovic has come up with, it would appear that the charismatic striker isn't aware that Beckham isn't on Twitter; he's tagged another account with the same handle that has 16,000 followers and 0 tweets.

The Manchester United and England legend is active on Instagram though and Beckham was quick to reply with a proposition of his own. It involves an England shirt, fish and chips and Wembley Stadium.

Both sets of fans will be aware that in the last meeting between the two sides, it was the Zlatan show. Six years ago, he marked the opening of Sweden's new national stadium by scoring four, including the Puskas Award winning goal, in a thrilling 4-2 victory.
