Wolves Midfielder Ruben Neves Is An Absolute Long-Range Expert

Wolves Midfielder Ruben Neves Is An Absolute Long-Range Expert

He just loves a long-range strike.

Ruben Neves only scores worldies, pass it on.

Just four minutes after Divock Origi equalised for Liverpool against Liverpool with a belting strike, the Portuguese midfielder trumped that by leathering one past Simon Mignolet from 30 yards out.

Neves sprayed the ball out to Ruben Vinagre and when the left-back fed it back to him, his dipping effort bounced into the bottom corner to restore Wolves' lead.

Neves, who joined the Molineux outfit in a £15 million move from Porto ahead of their table-topping Championship season under Nuno Espirito Santo, has an incredible record from distance.

The 21-year old has scored 13 senior goals in his career and only two have come inside the 18-yard box. What's more, he's bagged nine for Wolves, with eight coming from outside the box.

In the nicest way possible, he is the definition of a long-range merchant.

You may remember that Neves' first Premier League goal was a beautiful free-kick against Everton back in August, but his outrageous goal against Derby County last season is easily the best of his career so far.

You just can't beat a 'Ruben Rocket'...
