Andy Robertson hasn't backed either Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah in a Liverpool 100 meter race.
Mane and Salah are both renown for their pace. The pair of attack-minded stars posses speed. A lot of speed.
But Robertson likes Joe Gomez's chance in a sprint.

"You've got the obvious contenders in Mo [Salah] and Sadio but, if I had to back anyone I think I'd back Joe Gomez," he said.
"I think everyone's seen his recovery pace. I wouldn't back myself. Trent would back himself as well," he added.
In fact, Gomez is Liverpool's fastest player according to data.

He recorded a top sprinting speed of 21.6 mph during Liverpool's victory at Leicester City earlier in the season.
In second place, Gomez's defensive partner, Virgil van Dijk who clocked a top speed of 21.5 mph.

Then it's Sadio Mane with a top speed of 21.4 mph.
Liverpool's attacking full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson produced a top speed of 21.1 mph and 21 mph, respectively.
Salah and Firmino both clocked a top speed of 20.9 mph.
What's more, only one defender has recorded a faster speed than Gomez this season. Huddersfield Town's Terence Kongolo posted a top speed of 21.66 mph.

Impressive from the pair of defenders. In particular Gomez who is excelling under Jurgen Klopp and forging a brilliant partnership with van Dijk.
The 21-year-old was rewarded for his early form with a call-up to the England team, making his senior debut against Germany.
Is Gomez a future England star?
