Alexis Sanchez reached out to Arsene Wenger following his decision to step down as Arsenal manager at the end of the season.
The Chilean was drafted into the Premier League by Wenger. Though he cut his association with Arsenal by switching allegiances to Manchester United in January.
Sanchez guided his new side to the FA Cup final after producing a 'Man of the Match' performance against Spurs.

And after booking another Wembley Stadium date for United, Sanchez revealed he sent his former boss a text message who returned by thanking him.
"I texted him yesterday to wish him the best," Sanchez said via Sky Sports.
He added: "I could not say anything on social media but I texted him and he replied to me saying thank you to me.

"It's sad because he is a historical football legend, I always said he is a gentleman and a football master, he taught me a lot about respect and to be professional.
"I'm just so thankful to him."
Sanchez will be looking to get his hands on another FA Cup trophy, but, this time with United.
Meanwhile, the French professor announced on Friday that he is to move on, saying the following about his imminent departure:
