Real Madrid are a classy, classy club.

The defending Spanish and European champions have sent Duncan Watmore a letter following the striker injuring his cruciate knee ligament. He's since gone to rehab after undergoing surgery.

Watmore, 23, has only featured in six games after returning from 10 months out with a torn ACL, also in his left knee.

And out of the blue, and completely random, he had a letter waiting for him in rehab from none other than Real Madrid.

As revealed by Duncan's father, the letter reads: "Dear Duncan. On behalf of our president, Florentino Perez, and those who work for Real Madrid, we would like to wish you a smooth and speedy recovery from your knee injury."

Incredible gesture, Real Madrid.

Naturally, Duncan's father wants Real Madrid to win the Champions League for the third straight year. "I now hope they win the Champions League again!"

Meanwhile, Sunderland boss Chris Coleman is keen to get 'clinical results' to find out the true extent of his injury.

"We have to get the clinical results to find out exactly what he has done," he said via BBC.

"We haven't got those yet, so everybody is looking at it and suspecting, but we don't know yet.

Coleman added: "Of course we are worried because of what happened before but until we get a definite, we can't really say what is what.

"Duncan worked so hard to get back. He's a real good player and an even better guy.

SPORTbible also wishes Watmore a speedy recovery.
