The plot between Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho has thickened with the introduction of Neymar who has reportedly been speaking directly to the Manchester United midfielder.

Pogba and Mourinho are at loggerheads, publicly feuding with uncertainty surrounding both of their futures.

Television cameras picked up a spat involving Pogba and Mourinho at United's training base which stoked their fiery dispute.

The Frenchman has since been stripped of the vice-captaincy role.

And it appears Neymar has now got involved.

The Brazilian superstar dropped Pogba a phone call at the end of September, asking him if he was still content at Old Trafford and happy playing under Mourinho, not to mention saying if he'd be keen on a move to Paris Saint-Germain, per Goal.

"The former Juventus' man's struggles in Manchester have not gone unnoticed elsewhere and Neymar gave Pogba a call toward the end of September to see whether he's happy with life at United and if he would be open to a move to PSG," the report claims.

The pair are good friends off the field with Neymar even attempting to persuade Pogba to join Barcelona back in 2016

He snubbed a move to Spain, eventually returning to United for a then-record breaking transfer.

But his future is under serious doubt with Barcelona, PSG and Juventus all reportedly circling ahead of tabling an official bid.

Pogba played in United's uninspiring goalless draw against Valencia during the week, as The Red's resume their faltering Premier League campaign on Saturday versus Newcastle United.
