How did Sergio Ramos fare against Mohamed Salah when they met in 2016?

Well, a video packaging the pairs interaction has surfaced and it makes for interesting viewing.

Salah began to show his full potential while plying his trade at AS Roma. He spent a season on loan from Chelsea, before turning the deal into a permanent transfer after a superb campaign in the Serie A.

Another prolific term in Italy's top flight prompted a move away from Stadio Olimpico, with Liverpool snapping him up for a believed £36.9 million.

And his stint in Rome included a two-legged affair against Real Madrid. Liverpool's opponent in this seasons Champions League final.

Ramos has talked up a meeting with Salah by claiming there's no fear from his Real Madrid teammates.

He's in confident mood, and that will stem from pocketing the Egyptian in 2016. From one-on-one duels to inch-perfect tackles. Masterclass defending.

Of course, that was two years ago. Salah has since blossomed into a world class player following his heroics for Liverpool.

Ahead of their date in Kiev, Ukraine, Ramos is full of respect for Salah, while harbouring no fears.

"We have seen what Salah can do this season, but he will just be one of 11 players we face against Liverpool," he told Mirror. .

"Throughout my career, I have faced the best forward players in the world - many of them who are considered among the greatest ever. For me, there is never a fear. A respect, yes, but never a fear."

Ramos added: "We can't be arrogant but we can be confident. We know it is in the DNA of Real Madrid to win the Champions League.

"We are ready to defend our title for a second time - we won't let it go easily.

"With all respect, maybe at the start of the campaign Liverpool were not the team people thought would be in the final, but they are here because they deserve to be here.

"We know as a team how to play finals - and we will be ready."
