‘We Wouldn’t Even Sign Sergio Ramos If He Was Available On A Free Transfer,’ Says Liverpool Source

Sergio Ramos' future might be uncertain at Real Madrid, but it would seem that Liverpool could be immediately crossed off the list for his next destination.

Okay, the 33-year-old Spanish centre-back might have been linked with the Premier League runners-up, but if one senior Liverpool source can be trusted, then it sounds like the Reds would refuse to take him.

According to the Daily Mirror's source, Liverpool are not interested in signing the Madrid and Spain captain and made a bold claim that they wouldn't even sign him if he moved on a free transfer.

"There is 0.0 per cent chance of Sergio Ramos playing for Liverpool," the source told the newspaper.

"It has nothing to do with what happened in Kiev last season.

"Even if we had won the Champions League final and Ramos had shook the hand of every Liverpool player afterwards, we would still have no interest in him.

"Ramos just doesn't fit the kind of profile that Jürgen Klopp is looking for.

Wow. Just wow.

It has already emerged that Los Blancos are preparing for life without Ramos, with recent reports emerging that the club have had a €90m bid rejected for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.

Yesterday marked a special anniversary for Ramos, mainly for how it was five years since he scored against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League final.

"After that moment, I told my mother that from there I could die peacefully," he said.

"It's the best, the goal of my career for what it represents not only for me, but for football and for our club.

"It will always be a goal that will go down in history. It's a team effort and a lot of sacrifice went in so that it needed to go down in history and the story ends with that result.

"It was down to me to score the goal, but we will go down in history as a team, not only because of Sergio Ramos' goal."

Will Ramos leave Madrid in the summer?
