5th June 2018 marks one year since the tragic passing of Cheick Tiote.

We remember the ex-Newcastle United midfielder by living his wonder-goal against Arsenal in 2011.

Tiote sadly died after collapsing during a Beijing Enterprise training session. The news sent shock waves through the sport, with the footballing bubble mourning his death.

He enjoyed seven years in England with Newcastle, becoming a fan favourite. Though he ended his association with the club by venturing to the Far East.

But Tiote left his mark at St. James Park after producing one of the greatest moments in Premier League history.

Arsenal raced to a four goal first-half lead versus Newcastle.

However, the hosts fought back. Joey Barton converted not one but two penalties while Leon Best also netted to set up a dramatic finish.

With the clock ticking, Tiote walloped a superb strike into the bottom corner to level the league game, sending the home fans into a state of euphoria.
