Video replay has been used for the first time in European football this evening with France on the wrong side of the right decisions.
Antoine Griezmann looked to have given his side the lead during their international friendly against Spain, however, the goal was ruled offside.

Griezmann and co were in midst celebration as the Stade de France erupted but their joy was short lived after referee Felix Zwayer called in his video assistant to help.
The replay deemed Layvin Kurzawa to be offside as the ball was played into the box before he headed across to Griezmann who nodded the ball past David de Gea.
And there was more bad news for France but this time at the other end of the pitch.

Later in the second half, with Spain already 1-0 up, Gerard Deulofeu put the away team 2-0 up but as he wheeled away in celebration the assistant referee raised his flag.
However the 'linesman' wasn't assisting the ref too well as a quick chat with the video ref revealed that the former Barcelona winger was in fact on side.
Both decisions were correct by the video ref and took not very long to get to the right decision, it's almost as if the system works really quite well!
And the video refs seemed to get a thumbs up from Twitter:
Video referees work and soon the world of football might be a better place.

Yeah you'll have some overly emotional defence of not having it but you'd be completely wrong so it's not worth it!
