An explosive training ground fight at Boca.

There were shocking scenes in Argentina recently where a training ground fight broke out between two players.

Training ground scuffles are a regular occurrence in football, Mario Balotelli was known for them in his time at City, while Joey Barton's Rangers career ended after he had an altercation with teammate Andy Halliday in training.

Former Manchester United player Anderson had a scrap at his current club Internacional back in October and ended up punching his teammate William and subsequently busted his nose.

And now Boca Juniors have had players trading blows in their training session a couple of days back.

With the ball on the opposite side of the pitch, Juan Insaurralde and Jonathan Silva were having a scrap and Fox Sports Argentina, who were there to film training, managed to catch the altercation on camera.

This wasn't a bit of pushing and shoving either, they were both throwing punches as their teammates tried to split up the fracas.

Manager Guillermo Schelotto was absolutely fuming and ordered them both to leave the pitch.

It is not yet known what caused the fight but it's hardly ideal for Boca, who are currently in the midst of a winter break and return to action in the domestic league on February 25.

Their recent form has been extremely concerning, they have failed to win any of their last four friendlies and though they are three points clear at the top going into the second phase of the season, having your players trying to batter each other just over a week before domestic action resumes isn't exactly great preparation.
