Mats Hummels' antics on social media has got him into a little bit of trouble with the German bosses who have warned him about his behaviour.

The Bayern Munich defender is on international duty, and ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Czech Republic on Friday night, he decided to jump from his balcony into a swimming pool.

He posted the video on social media accompanied with the message, "looks more spectacular than it actually is. #donttrythisathome"

The video on Instagram has racked up over 300,000 views, and, needless to say, has caught the attention of the German bosses.

Team manager Oliver Bierhoff issued a warning to Hummels, saying the following via News 18: "It would have been worse if he'd jumped in head first."

"We're not the social media police, yet we will point out that he is a role model.

"Mats is actually very reflective and I wouldn't put too much on this," he added.

Hummels' action divided opinion on social media. Some feel he's a 'grown man' while others felt what he did was wrong so close to a match.

What do you reckon? Is Hummels in the wrong for jumping off his balcony? Or is Bierhoff over reacting?
