Cristiano Ronaldo has issued a rallying cry to Real Madrid's fans ahead of Los Blancos' clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, tomorrow night.

It's been a difficult season for the Spanish and European champions, who sit 19 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga table, with manager Zinedine Zidane potentially on the brink of losing his job despite having led the Bernabeu club to two consecutive Champions League successes and last year's Spanish league title.

And Los Blancos' poor form has, predictably, seen the Bernabeu crowd turn on the first team, most notably French striker Karim Benzema.

The 30-year-old has often divided opinions and his lack of goals since November has earned him boos at the Bernabeu, most recently after missing a chance during last week's victory over Real Sociedad.

Benzema is no stranger to coming under fire for his form, but at such a crucial point of the season, Cristiano Ronaldo has leapt to the defence of his teammate by sending a message to Real's fans on the eve of the clash with PSG in the Champions League round of 16.

In the video, the five time Ballon d'Or winner says, "On Wednesday we have a very important match against a great team.

"What me and the team are asking for is your unconditional support like always and together we will be much stronger. Hala Madrid!"

Benzema has just six goals in 25 games, this season, although his overall record of 186 goals in 390 games for Real is still not to be sniffed at. The France international has lifted three Champions Leagues, two La Liga titles, two Copa Del Reys and three FIFA Club World Cups.
