Vinicius Junior starred for Real Madrid as they beat Girona 3-1 to win 7-3 on aggregate and progress to the Copa Del Rey semi-finals.

Under Julen Lopetegui, the Brazilian youngster barely got a look-in and had to contend with playing for the club's Castilla side.

But Santiago Solari, who saw what he was capable of in the B team, has given him plenty of opportunities on the first-team stage and Vinicius has grabbed them with both hands.

So far, the €45 million man has made 19 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring three goals.

And he made a big impression yet again away at Girona last night, supplying his eighth assist of the season with a tidy for Karim Benzema after being fed in the box.

His spiciest bit of play, however, saw him completely destroy two opponents when they pressed him from behind in sync.

But it was no problem for the 18-year old, who improvised sensationally with a silky samba skill that took him past both defenders.

The lad is just full of clair and his highlights from the game are pretty incredible.

Vinicius has been a regular for Brazil at various youth levels and if he continues to perform, it surely won't be too long before he forces his way into Tite's first-teams plans.

That would represent a big accomplishment for the starlet, who is desperate to play with Brazil's record goalscorer, Neymar.

"I want to play next to Neymar, who is my idol," he told Fox Sports.

"He's a guy I've been with since I was little, since when he started at the Santos, I follow him closely. I have a great affection, and he knows it."
