In the craziest story you will read today, Villarreal defender Ruben Semedo has reportedly been arrested by the Civil guard of Valencia after being accused of a violent crime.

According to a report from Las Provincias in Spain, the former Sporting CP man, along with two other men, is alleged to have assaulted, kidnapped and robbed an individual, who has since lodged an official complaint.

The victim says he was locked in a room inside the 23-year old centre-back's house, before being beaten, tied up with a rope so that he could not escape and even had bullets fired in his direction, though they did not hit him.

The reports adds that the victim had an ankle injury and multiple bruises upon his arrival at the police station in Valencia, while he also claims that while he was imprisoned, the suspects stole 24,000 euros and valuables from his apartment.

Semedo's arrest is the third time he has been detained by police since joining Villarreal in the summer, following attacking a man with a glass bottle after an incident in a nightclub, as well as threatening someone with a gun.

Newcastle were heavily linked with the Portugal Under 21 international in the summer transfer window but something tells us they did the right thing in not signing him. He doesn't sound like a nice bloke in the slightest!
